Delete your account

FansBall Knowledge ("FBK") gives you a one-tap way to permanently delete your account and every piece of data linked to it. This page describes the in-app flow that the App Store and Play Store both require us to expose, what gets deleted, and how long it takes.
Delete from inside the app
The fastest path — three taps from any screen:
- Tap the profile icon in the bottom-right of the bottom tab bar.
- Scroll to the bottom of the menu and tap Delete Account (red).
- Confirm in the dialog. We show a final warning explaining that the action is permanent.
Deletion runs immediately. The app shows a "Deleting your account…" loader for a few seconds while the server cascades the deletion, then bounces you back to the sign-in screen. You will not be able to sign in with the same email after this — the account is gone.
This cannot be undone. Once you confirm, every record listed below is removed from our database. We do not keep a "deleted accounts" archive that we can restore from.
What we delete
Confirming deletion permanently removes:

| Stories | Likes and saves you placed on stories |
| Reports | Question reports and abuse reports you submitted (the underlying complaint stays on file for our moderation records, but linked to a deleted user) |
| Block list | Every "blocked user" relationship you established, in both directions |
| Images | Avatars and any other content you uploaded to our image host (Cloudinary) |
What we retain (and for how long)
- Backup snapshots — our infrastructure provider takes daily database snapshots used for disaster recovery only. Your data may exist in a snapshot for up to 30 days after deletion. Snapshots are not queried, exported, or accessed except to recover from a catastrophic failure.
- Crash and error logs — Sentry retains stack traces for 30 days. After deletion these are still tagged with the original anonymized user ID; we do not link them back to you.
- Aggregate analytics — PostHog event counts (e.g. "X people opened the daily challenge today") are aggregated and contain no personal data. These are not deleted because they're not personal.
- Legal hold — if there is an active legal request requiring us to retain specific data, we will hold the relevant records until the request resolves and notify you to the contact email on file when possible. We have not had any such request to date.
Email deletion (alternative)
If you cannot access the in-app flow — for example, you've lost your device or your account is locked — email support@fansballknowledge.com from the address on file. Tell us:
- The email address registered on your FBK account
- That you want the account permanently deleted
We will reply within 7 days, verify the request, and delete the account manually. We may ask for a piece of in-app information (e.g. your team name, a recent quiz played) to confirm ownership before deletion.
