How Last Fan Standing works
- 1
Pick a nation
Every round, choose one nation you're confident will win their match. Lock it in before the round's kick-off deadline.
- 2
Survive the round
Win and you advance to the next round. Draw or lose and you're eliminated for the rest of the tournament. No second chances.
- 3
Never reuse a team
Once you've picked a nation, it's locked out for the rest of the tournament. Saving your strongest sides for harder rounds is the whole game.
Real World Cup, real stakes
Every match in the official 2026 FIFA World Cup fixture is in the pool — group stage to the final.
Free, no entry fee
Sign up, pick your team, survive. No money in, no money out — just bragging rights.
Live deadlines, live results
Lock your pick before kick-off. Results sync the moment the round closes. See if you survived in real time.
Frequently asked questions
- What is Last Fan Standing?
- Last Fan Standing is a survivor pool for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Every round you pick one nation you think will win. If they win, you survive to the next round. If they lose or draw, you're eliminated. The catch: you can never pick the same nation twice.
- How do I win Last Fan Standing?
- Be the last player still alive at the end of the tournament. If multiple players make it to the final, the player whose surviving pick wins the trophy is the overall winner.
- Is Last Fan Standing free to play?
- Yes — Last Fan Standing on FansBall Knowledge is completely free. No real-money wagering, no entry fee. Just sign up and join the active tournament.
- Can I rejoin if I get eliminated?
- Once you're eliminated from a tournament you're out for the rest of that tournament. A new tournament starts at the next stage so you can always pick back up.
- Can I pick the same team again in a later round?
- No. Once you use a nation, that nation is locked for you for the rest of the tournament. Plan ahead — saving the strongest teams for harder rounds is the whole strategy.
- What happens if my pick draws?
- In the group stage a draw counts as a loss for survival purposes — your team didn't win, so you don't advance. In knockout matches we use the official tournament result (penalties / extra time included).
